My e50 doesnt have throttle respond when it is warm even with the cable in the engine bay i dindt drive the car for 1 year and i got a battery and esp light on the dash when it cools down its normal then
The engine computer is located inside the compartment you have circled in red.
However, to check fault codes you need a diagnostic scanner. There is a round 38-pin diagnostic port on the opposite side of the engine compartment in the fuse area. USA models have an OBD-2 diagnostic port located inside the car below the steering column, but I'm not certain if Euro-spec cars have OBD-2 ports or not.
Either way, you need a diagnostic scan tool capable of digital communications with the Mercedes / Bosch ME 1.0 engine management system.
I think some information is available at the OBD2 port (if present) but for the 210.072 chassis, I believe most diagnostics will be via the 38-pin diagnostic port. However, it's possible that for the engine management specifically, you can get full access via OBD-2 port with an appropriate scan tool. I'm not positive.
I don't know how good Carsoft is with the W210. The best thing to use is Star Diagnostics System (SDS) with HHT-Win support, since the original factory diagnostic tool back in 1997 was the HHT (Hand Held Tester). You can buy a full SDS system for around $600 USD or so, this will work with most all Mercedes from early 90's to present. Before buying anything, make sure it will work with the W210 chassis!!
Yes.You would need either a blinkcode reader, or a tester that has 38 pin connectivity. There is a huge possibility that it is the throttlebody that is acting up. I have an e50 myself..and had issues regarding this. Mine was never like you could not give throttle..but it was in limp mode..so almost no throttle. I made a video of this on my youtube channel..but you will need to first read codes on your car.
Here is the link to my video
Is there only 38 pin connector in the fuse box because i cant open the box in the picture previous owner stripped 1 screw i looked inside but didnt see a 38 pin

Like mister GSXR said....38 pin connector is in the fusebox by the brakebooster. BUT ,you will need to open up the ecu box you posted a picture of. The ECU ,and k40 relay sits in this box,and at some point,,during the diagnosis, you will need to get in there to measure stuff
wow....To be honest..i do think that is a coincidense...as that just seems strange that it would go into limp mode because of such a thing....I think you should hold your horses abit..and wait with the " reveal of the final conlusion" Though i really do hope it is fixed.,,but to be honest,,i doubt it
