Which rotors and brake pads for Silver Arrow brakes?

OE / dealer Genuine Mercedes rotors are preferred. Do not remove the gray coating, it is both a corrosion preventive as well as a bed-in compound for the pads.

For pads, I like Porterfield R4-S but they are not cheap. If you want zero dust and don't mind possibly dealing with some occasional squealing, and don't need max performance, try a ceramic pad. OE / MB pads will work well, but may be a little dusty.

I've finaly ordered ATE 24.0132-0147.1 with ATE ceramic pads 13.0470-4984.2 for front axle, unfortunatly ATE have no similar rotor for rear axle

From what I can tell online, the Genuine Mercedes Silver Arrow front rotors are discontinued.

I seems so is the rear left caliper.

What you guys recommend for rear discs? MB or is there good aftermarket suppliers? How about Brembo discs, are they crap?

Genuine MB if possible. Second choice would be Zimmerman Coat Z. Third choice Ate if made in Germany.

Brembo aftermarket discs may have been ok many years ago, but myself and others have had bad experiences with Brembo in the past 5-10 years. I would not use them, period.

I ordered a set of spareparts including ATE SA rotors.. They are genuine ATE but made in PRC.

Has anyone tried those or faced any issues using discs which are made in China?

Thoughts?
