Will SLS shock absorbers from R129 500SL work on 500E?

Is it possible to use the sachs 102 520 rear sls shocks for R129 on my - 92 500E?
Sachs part number for 500e is 102503

I noticed yesterday that the previous owner had plugged the sls lines and replaced both sides sls dampers with regular aftermarket Monroe shock absorbers.

You will get 2 r129 shocks for the price of one 500e.

I decided to seal the SLS as well and install standard Bilstein shock absorbers. I bought the Bilsteins 24-015189, and the car sits too low now, some 2cm lower than it is suppose to be. On my previous 500E I also changed the rear suspension to standard shock absorbers and she was sitting normaly and drove much better than with original hydraulics. Now you know what NOT to buy :-) I need to find ones at least 2cm longer than the ones I bought. Hope this helps! Please share the Monroe's part number just for info purposes.

You need different springs if you remove SLS. The shocks won't affect ride height.

Removing or disabling the SLS from these cars can reduce their value to a potential buyer, if you ever sell the car....
