Wiring for CD Changer - in car w/o CD Changer?

For E5E's without the factory CD Changer installed (optional), is the wiring/cable for the CD Changer in the car from the factory even though the CD Changer wasn't a selected Option?

Thanks,

Al

Yes, the cars officially came pre-wired for a CD changer from the factory. The actual changer was installed at the local MB-stealership prior to delivery of the car to the customer.

Interestingly enough, however, I have never been able to find a single iota of CD changer wiring in my own E500 (early model year 1994 production) despite looking very very closely over the past 12 years.

I'd like to connect Alpine CHM 620 CD changer to my Becker 1432 (car wasn't equipped with changer from the factory), so I've been looking for original wires in my trunk but couldn't find them on a brief look. Could someone take a picture of where should I look for them?
Thanks

What kind of car do you have - is it not an E500E? w124s never came with the MX3192 which is what allowed Beckers in other models to be connected to Alpine CD changers.

It's 400E, everything is fine for now. As I mentioned, my car wasn't originally equipped with changer, and my mistake was I was looking for wires that don't exist :D I bought MX3192, some Becker 4 pin plugs (male and female) and 8 DIN wires, so I'll try to wire up Alpine changer in a while
