Wonky transmission mount part number??

Hello,

I am looking for a transmission mount for my 1993 500E. My mount has two mounting holes in it(one hole on each side). Here are pics of my mount with 2 mounting holes. The other picture is the mount that 3 mounting holes. But part numbers are the same.

If I have the part number correct, it should be # 1402400318. I have ordered a couple of these from different sources and they arrive with 3 mounting holes. Do I have the correct part number or has this number been superseded?

Thank you in advance,
Eric

Eric, prepare yourself for bad news... the correct transmission mount has been NLA for a few years. There are incorrect aftermarket supercessions out there which is why you are receiving wrong mounts that don't fit.

If your old mount is still mostly intact, I'd re-install it. You can try to reinforce it by adding urethane in the bottom half if desired. These mounts always show some amount of "sagging" even shortly after a new one is installed. If not oil-soaked or visibly ripped/torn, it's likely serviceable.
