Would 17x8 et37 wheels fit over Silver Arrow brakes?

Starting to get going on my project e500. Will make a thread for it soon. So far I want to get the silver arrow brakes on and some temporary wheels while I take the car apart and prep for a respray (Paint is not bad, but clearcoat starting to check).

I believe that pretty much any 17-inch or larger wheel, as long as the offset is appropriate for the E500E, will clear the SA brake calipers.

Width and offset do not determine clearance to brake calipers - that is dictated by the spoke/face design and depth. While most 17" factory wheels should clear, there may be some oddballs which do not, and some aftermarket wheels may not clear. In these rare cases, spacers should solve the problem.
