Hello all!

I have been scouring the earth for a A0005456206 Neutral safety switch for my 500E

Unfortuantely upon taking mine apart and cleaning the contacts i still have a big F on SDS when gating gears.

If anyone has one in theyre parts stash they would part with will be very much apreciated!
Cheers

Thanks have tried Peli and unfortunately they still have phantom listings of many parts that are no longer sourcable 😫
really Mercedes should still be producing these as they have many vehicles that use this part # that would otherwise be stranded without a working NSS.

Have also been trying to get in touch with Kurth classics they do a modified version but they are unable to produce any nowdays.
For what its worth if someone has a new old stock one in the parts collection i shall pay you handsomely for it😎

Sorry to hear that!

I remember taking apart a similar switch on a ZF 5HP24. Thankfully there was a diy guide for it which included continuity at which pins per switch position, so I was able to bench-test. It took a few disassemblies to get that one right but thankfully worked out.

I did see the Kurth Classics link and it is pretty pricey, too bad even that is unavailable.

Plugged in the part number on google, the Pelican Parts link showed available?

ANything at Pelican, add to cart and see what happens. Most of the time with their phantom NLA items, it will show OOS... but only after adding to cart:

Did you measure the value of each resistor while it was apart? It's a simple mechanism... with clean contacts and good resistors, it should work!!

I assume it's adjusted correctly per FSM procedure, and the shift linkage bushings have zero play, correct?

:runexe:

Linkage bushings are in good order and almost no play in the shift linkage Dave :(
I will go to town on it and check those resistors properly seeing I'm having no luck finding a replacement
