Has anyone had any personal experience with the Big Brake Kits from YSR out of Texas?

No personal experience with YSR brakes but the pricing looks pretty good IMO. Their 6-piston, 345 rotor kit is not much more than what I paid for my "home made" solution.

No experience with YSR, but those are SuperChina brakes. Which isn't necessarily bad, but that is why they are priced half or less vs similar name-brand kits.

Note their specs page shows that 18" wheels may be required for their 345+356mm setups, and 19" for 365mm.

The big unknown is the depth of the rotor, from rear friction surface to the rear of the hat surface. They do not have dimensions / technical drawings for their rotors. I would assume that the late LCA's will be required for any/all of their kits.

What year/model W124 do you have? If you are looking for brakes on your E320, all of these YSR setups are way, way overkill... and won't be visible behind your 18" Monoblocks. And, you will need to upgrade the rears as well to avoid unbalanced stopping power. Just upgrading to the late R129 factory brakes (front+rear) would be more than you'll ever need with 217hp, and much cheaper too. Could be half as much for all four R129 brakes vs YSR front only.

No experience with YSR, but SuperChina brakes have come up in conversations with two shop owners I know who have had to install them.

Both have said there was always something that made the install not straightforward.

I personally witnessed one of those installs (on a Ranger Raptor), and that one took a few days due to a parking brake issue that they had to disassemble the caliper for.

But at the end of the day both shop owners said they got the China/Taiwan BBKs to work eventually. But a lot fussier than, say, a Brembo GT kit that truly bolts on.

Another thing is that often, these BBKs do not have piston rubber dust boots. Not ideal IMO for a street car that sees all seasons.
