I rarely watch videos at 1x speed start to finish, but I couldn't take my eyes off this one. Looked like Misha was going ~8/10 on the sighting lap, and Ben was a bit nervous a few times! :jono:

My brain could NOT keep up with Misha's commands from the passenger seat. Unreal.

Why would an ex-Sting be nervous there? Aren’t all Stings built/conceived at The Green Hell before being farmed out to Top Gear?
Road course / F1 racers are used to tracks with around a dozen turns, maybe 15-20 at most. It doesn't take an inordinate amount of time to learn a track like that which is typically only 2-3 miles long.

The Nordschleife, however, has 150+ turns over 13 miles. It takes YEARS to learn it well enough to turn anywhere near record times. And since it's lined with concrete and trees, mistakes can be deadly. Typical racetracks have lots of runoff room so mistakes just cause a mess to clean up back in the pits. The Green Hell nickname didn't come lightly.

I wish I could run my whip there…
ME TOO!! Ideally, with the Stig driving and me riding shotgun.
