Technically, this is a 1992 model. Indicated by the inclusion of the AMG options in the VIN and build date. Looks to be mostly correct. Wood steering wheel is not original, nor is the shift knob or rear muffler. Rear muffler appears to either be from a later gen AMG or repro tips installed on an OEM type muffler. The chrome Mercedes star wheel caps are also not original to the build.

The lack of a secondary air intake tube is not abnormal. There was no option choice for this item, some cars had it and others did not. You would think this would have been something on early cars and then dropped for later models or that it was introduced on later model builds, but that is not the case. You see the secondary air intakes on early and late cars. Hard to say what that issue is all about, possibly owners retrofitting this items, making definitive answers elusive.

The VIN decoder is not 100% accurate either, but its better than nothing.

Looks like an interesting car. Though I much prefer the HFM versions of the M104 (especially in 3.6L AMG guise) to the early CIS-E versions.
