Any clues as to why my Becker unit isn't getting FM reception?
It gets AM.

Antenna is up.

I have tried another working unit and still doesn't get reception.
Can it be the antenna or the antenna cable.

I'd hate to have to replace the cable, routing through the car, etc.

If your system is stock, the antenna cable doesn't go through the cabin, it only goes from the antenna amplifier mounted to the antenna motor stalk, then across the back of the trunk where it plugs into the rear radio chassis that is mounted inside the trunk below the fuel filler area. It is the rear radio chassis that has the am and fm tuners. You can check all of the small leads on and about the antenna motor and the antenna amplifier. The amplifier is the rectangular metal housing assembly attached to the antenna stalk. You should have about 12v. on the tiny blue wire that runs from the antenna amp to the antenna motor control unit that will be either inside or on top of the antenna motor. Sometimes those amps go bad. Sometimes one or more of those wires will have poor contact. Note that some of the wires have concentric retaining nuts, and some simply plug in. Sometimes moisture has entered one or more of those components and/or the wire terminals. Sometimes the rear radio unit is bad. If your rear radio unit is faulty, they can be repaired inexpensively by the vendor service center at beckerautosound.com. They may also have some troubleshooting info there as well.
