I need help.

I have tried many things to fix this problem. Engine has maybe 75k on it since replacement. car shows 207k. I have installed new coils, engine wiring harness was replaced. Throttle actuator rebuilt. Tried a different ignition module. Going to try a different MAS. Fuel pressure seems fine. PLugs and wires are ok. Rotors and caps are ok. Dealer replaced one rotor button saying it was very slightly cracked which was not the isse.

Any ideas?

What codes (if any) come back immediately after clearing?

:detective:

No check engine light. no codes and no way to read them. Pat from PGA sent this to you yesterday Dave.

Ah, I thought it sounded familiar. Remember, the CEL will only come on if there are emissions-related codes. There can be other codes present, even without the CEL. Think I forgot to ask Pat about that. A hand-held blink code reader would suffice. After checking/clearing codes, any codes which return quickly should be investigated and corrected. A digital scanner with live data would be helpful if you have someone that can decipher it. If there are no codes, then you're back to throwing parts at it, which isn't fun.

Random test: When it won't re-start, what happens if you squirt a bit of starting fluid into the engine, and try to start again? If it fires up briefly and then dies, at least then you'd know it's fuel related. If it won't fire at all, it's ignition related.

:wormhole:

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me.

Agree, need to pull codes. ALL codes.

Cheers,
Gerry
