AC help needed in Bremerton WA

So we arrived safely in Bremerton but this morning while warming up the car, for some inexplicable reason the AC compressor has quit. It’s making a horrible screeching sound but it’s still rotating.

Can anyone recommend a reputable/trustworthy AC shop in Bremerton or Port Orchard?

Ouch. If it's noisy when rotating, it may be toast. Hope it didn't self destruct internally and spit debris through the system, which is tedious & expensive to flush out of all the lines. I'd find a Mercedes/European repair shop if possible. I'd be nervous letting a generic AC shop do a compressor replacement. :duck:

Perhaps some forum members in the Seattle area know where to go?

😟

Kent Bergsma (@gsxr's uncle) is based out of Bellingham, WA, but that is a ways from Bremerton. You would best try to find someone in the Tacoma area.

Thanks guys. If this doesn’t wind up being easy enough, I’ll just finish the trip without AC and do it at home where I have my own AC guy and parts supply.
