ASR and GM modules

I'm trying to help a local board member and friend with some spares.

Could someone please let me know if these modules are compatible with the 036?

GM module 014 545 36 32 came from a 94 W140 coupe
ASR module 011 545 49 32
ASR module 013 545 38 32 came from a 94 W140 coupe edit: After further investigation I find W140 module will not work.

In general with the exception of LH modules, I have found that the W140 modules don't generally work, or only partially work in the 034/036.

I think the 014-545-36-32 BM/GM will work, but have not confirmed 100%.

Not sure about 011-545-49-32 which I believe is from a 140, it may or may not work on the USA-spec 036.

Ditto for 013-545-38-32... not sure.

For most of this stuff, the only way to find out is try the 140 module and see what happens.

Both the ASR modules have 8/12 ZYL listed which would lead me to believe they are both from a W140. I know the 2nd one is as I labeled it so.

I have NEVER seen an ASR module in a V-8 W124 (stock) marked 8/12 ZYL -- that is 110% a dead giveaway that it is indeed from a 140. I've seen dozens of these in the wrecking yards over the years. I've even gotten a couple of them. I believe it is one of those modules that MAY work partially in our cars.

The info in the Wiki table on all of the computers is pretty accurate as it relates to the .036/.034. It's NOT an exhaustive list of EVERY module that appeared in the alternative chassis (R129, W140), but it is pretty complete as to stock modules that came in the V-8 W124 models, and models from those other chassis that do work in our cars.

The late ROW "Euro" spec 036, after approx 03/1993 production, have the fancy dual-mode braking system with almost all different components. These use a different ASR module (014-545-01-32) which is marked 12 ZYL (despite being in a 8-zyl car), see photo below. However, this DOES NOT apply to USA-spec models.

The 8/12 ZYL markings may be for 140 only as noted previously.

I should have qualified my answer above to restrict it to US-spec V-8 W124 models, yes. For the most part that's what I've observed in wrecking yards (probably 20 .034s over the years between Baltimore and Houston) and dozens of V-8 W140s, and two C140s (both V12s).
