So I recently had my Becker 1432 fully refurbished. Head unit, both amps, and receiver were sent in to Becker. It was more expensive than I would have liked to be honest.

A couple weeks ago I had an issue where one channel went out on the rebuilt amp, I sent in back to Becker for warranty repair.
While waiting, I swapped in some "working" junkyard amps I harvested from a 400e.
I got the rebuilds back today and compared the sound quality to the old junkyard units. The difference in sound is very noticeable. I swapped amps back and fourth a few times just to compare one after the other and there is a big difference in clarity, distortion, bass etc.
I expected some improvement but not to this degree.
I suspect that a lot of people that poo poo the 1432 sound quality just have old amps with degraded capacitors.
I found this interesting, that is all.
