Deteriorating wiring located under front windshield cowl

Still inspecting the new car and found that there is some wiring that is deteriorating under the front windshield cowl. Anyone know what these specific wires are for? Getting a decent picture was difficult so I hope this will suffice for identification purposes.

looks like engine wiring harness to me...but abit hard to say though..
but does the wire bundle go to the big rectangular connector behind the CAN box...the big aluminum box with the black cover?
if so.then its the wiring harness to the engine.Both bottom harness and top harness

I will check. The upper wiring harness has been replaced but the lower wiring harness has not. I suspected it could be the lower wiring harness but do not know if it follows that path under the cowl.

it could loook like the lower one yes...the "red"ish" cable under the deterioated GREEN one...looks like one of the ones going to the generator and starter...

Lower harness is my vote, having just replaced it.

Need better photos. If the wires in question go under the wiper to the other side of the car, it is NOT the lower (starter/alternator) harness.

They appear to head into the main control box(es). Not to the rectangular connector behind the CAN box. Nearly impossible to get a clear picture due to the small opening.
