Release due in October 2014 , it's not the best diecast maker but who cares since it's the very first 036 to be done in 1/18 .

Note : the doors , trunk , bonnet are sealed thus the cheap price .

Some minor modification will be done (bigger amg badge , color of the rear light .... )

This is not the final product .

I already reserved mine , you can pre order yours here on the official otto-club website

39 euros for shipping?!?

I'll have to wait for them to come stateside first.

jono

They may never come to the U.S. because these models seem to be made in limited quantities. Also, I don't think they are die-cast metal, I believe they are high quality resin but with very good detail. This will be one of those things that if you want one, be prepared to pay semi-dearly for it.

Looks nice. I have several 500E die cast.

Gerry, I didn't know you were a collector.

60€ for the model, and another 40 for shipping? A little too rich for my blood. But still a very great looking replica. Ill sit by the sidelines and just be jealous.

FYI Ottomobile is a french based company

They only sell thru their webshop , no retailer whatsoever .

It's not the best ( i would kill for a CMC made "036" ) but basically their goal is simple , customer ask a specific model and if possible they bless us with rarely seen models .

So props to them , note that this E60 is the first Mercedes done by this company , that's a great start , the 500E in 1/18 will follow for sure ;)

We just got 2 cars :D
Haven´t seen them in the flash yet.
Nothing opens, but detalisation should be good.

Ack...a moment of weakness. I couldn't resist, just placed my order.

Any one willing to perhaps take delivery and send them over as a Lot..?? IIRC, the shipping over seas from Ottomobile was..um..a bit brutal!

jono

39 euro for shipping is definitely brutal...but due to the limited availability, I didn't want to wait and possibly not get one at all.

Just be happy that the dollar is stronger than it was a year ago ... it's a better deal for us on this side of the pond. I'm going to have mine sent to Germany.

I ordered directly from Otto back in August. Supposedly it's on it's way :-)

mine came today as well. Very heavy, like some Franklin Mint 1/18 scale. Spot on match, but unlike the Franklin Mint models, the doors do not open, the steering wheel does not turn the wheels and the undercarriage is molded rather than multiple replicas of the undercarriage.

Very nice model, I am glad I have it. I will hold off buying another until a C126 comes available.125.jpg126.jpg

Mine arrived today as well after the post office called me and said the address was missing my house number.

Mine was delivered today! Very high quality with a very nice finish. If I'm being picky, I'd say they should have flared the wheel wells just a tiny bit more. Overall, I'm very impressed and now I have to decide if I want the 190 Evo they are offering in December [emoji3]

Got mine yesterday. Opened it up, noticed no hood star, but found two small wrapped "baggies" on the floor. I assume one contains the hood star. Not sure what is in the other little package. Car is heavy and solid. Wish the doors opened -can see a little piece of paper lint in the interior. Now my 94 E500 is supported by the excellent 94 drawing print and a 94/95 Limited Ottomobile model 1/18. All have the EVO II wheels. Nice.

Yes, very nice indeed. Mine shipped with a hood gun-sight installed and then I think I was provided two spares in some tiny little packages. I wish it had come with an avant-garde grill. Seems as if it left the factory with the manual HVAC system. Otherwise, pretty hard to tell what option were "intalled". Agree with Glen that the fenders should have more flare.

Hi guys,

While walking inside a mall, happened to drop by a store that sells diecast cars...they had 3 of the OTTO brand, 1:18 500E in silver.

If there are any members interested, I can go back, ask for price and even take pictures. Shipping can be done via FedEx or UPS ( but I don't know prices, will have to bring the box to them) or if not in a rush, my son and grandson will be going to Calif, USA this May and can bring the models with them and ship to continental USA address.

I'm not making any money on these, only doing it since we are all enthusiasts. I actually have a collection of about 100 of MB's in 1:18...and really know the frustration of tracking a particular item...like the 1:18 MB F1 car of Lewis...

Let me know.

Jono, I preordered the AMG 560 SEC a few weeks ago

Chicky, I'm interested. Thanks for the offer! I'd be willing to meet your family here in California and even ship the remaining models to the other folks stateside.

Hi,

Ok, will drop by the mall in a few hours (it's 3:30 am Monday morning as I type this). Will take pictures and try to get a good price for you guys.

Regards,

Hello Neil/M104AMG, Jono/jhodg5ck and J-Sauce,

Here are pictures that I took of the die cast E500. The last picture shows that it comes with an extra hood emblem (the Star emblem) and a sticker.

The price is P5000.00 for model, based on todays exchange rate + bank charges, works out to US$101.00, excluding shipping charges (to be based on buyer's request). PayPal to my account is welcome, please state that it is a gift, so there will be no charges. Please note that I will not profit from this transactions, just wanting to satisfy a fellow members' "urgent need" for the model... :-)

There are 3 sets available, 2 located in the shop where I went, and another 1 in another branch...but no issues with me to have them picked up by my company messenger.
