I am considering updating the hood and trunk on my 1992 500e to the updated panels found on 1994 models. I have noticed that the trunk lid does not have an exterior mechanical latch release button like on the 1992. Does anyone know how the latch mechanism is set up on the 1994 models? Can this incorporated into the 1992 model without a lot of changes? Thanks.
