Electric Problem

Hello you all,
I have this electrical problem on my 1992 500e where my lamp inside the trunk does not turn off when I close the trunk. I guessed it was the trunk switch and so I replaced that part but the problem remained. I also have this electrical problem with my headrests in the backseat that they fall down automatic when I start the vehicle and I cant get them to stand up when the car is on.

For the trunk light, check the wiring along the hinge... make sure the insulation hasn't shorted out. Also, remove the carpet from the trunk lid and trace the wires, make sure nothing is touching metal / ground.

The headrests could be a stuck or bad switch in the center console, or improper vacuum connections at the valve below the driver side rear seat.
