ENGINE MISFIRES WHEN HOT

This problem always crops up when I don't use the car for a few days. The engine would start fine and run well but after 15 mins on the road and with the engine at normal operating temperature, the car would start to balk or hesitate for a moment everytime I step on the gas lightly. If I go full throttle, it would misfire continuously. When I let it cool down for 30 minutes, the car would run fine from then on with no misfires whatsoever.

I had it checked on the computer and it showed that my O2 sensor was faulty so I replaced it and still the problem remains. It also pulled a code 32 which the mechanic is not familiar with and is not in his repair manual.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd check the LH module adaptation for grins, as it wouldn't hurt to re-set it after installing the new O2 sensor. Otherwise, how old are the caps & rotors? Have they been removed for inspection? How about the spark plugs? How do they read? Also, what computer system had code 32... I assume the DI/EZL?

I had an issue that was identical to what you describe, immediately after washing the engine. It persisted for the next few drives and eventually went away. I believe it was moisture in the distributor caps. New caps are on my list for that car. Cleaning them could benificial.

I would check caps and rotors as mentioned above... sounds like resistance is going UP w/ temps..if your wiring is all in order and caps/rotors are fine I'd check the voltage coming out of the coil packs.
