Hello:

Does anyone know the correct color or colors of the original hard vacuum lines for the 1993 Euro 500E headlamps?

Also....
What is the correct vacuum adjuster switch for 1993?
I have a 124 800 0073 and a 124 800 0673. The 0073 has 2 long inlet/outlets on the rear and 0-1-2-3 markings on the front while the 0673 has 3 inlet/outlets on the rear and no markings on the front.
I do know that both will work but I am interested in what was original in 1993. Same with the vacuum line color/colors.

Thanks

Ron

Both gens used the purple vaccum tubing. Someone on another forum said it was no longer availabe, but I have confirmed that.

The vaccum switch with the two connectors on the back was used up to 1993. The vaccum switch with the three connectors on the back was used from 1994 on.

I received purple vacuum tubing as part of my 560SEC top-end rebuild, when I ordered all new vacuum tubing. It is DEFINITELY still available if needed.

Cheers,
Gerry

On the subject of headlamps, I found out from an agent in the UK that they can now only supply new glasses, seals, reflectors and vacuum actuators for height - along with complete headlamps. Interestingly however, he suggested that any other parts could be available from Bosch rather than Mercedes.... Has anyone managed to get other parts from the internals through Bosch??

I need to get a pair of glass carriers as the chrome finishing is failing Does anyone have any info on whether these parts are available.....anywhere???

Thanks

Paul

E500 USA headlights were made by Bosch.
E500 Euro headlights were made by Hella.

The lenses are interchangeable, but I'm not sure about the internals. Photos are on my website.
