front torsion bar - which direction ??

Just refurbished my torsion bar. Only minor rust. Now is the question which direction to install is correct? Do the ends of the bar point down or up? :)

Ends will point downward slightly. Pretty sure it won't bolt up at all if you have it upside down.

:duck:
Could you tell me where I can get the 4 bolts and 8 nuts for the front sway bar. I have not been unable to source any yet, and I do not want to reuse the old ones.
Thanks

EPC has the factory MB part numbers, screen shots below. The nuts may be compression-type (self-locking). The bolts are nothing special, you could get generic metric bolts from the local hardware store of the same size.

Phenomenal. Thank you. I had searched everywhere and couldn't find anything. How difficult is it to get the EPC?
I think I should have a copy

Or you could just use this:
The online versions have limitations, for example the footnotes are often either unavailable OR difficult to decipher. And there is no reverse lookup by part number. Some of the older online EPC's had data missing or some inaccuracies, maybe the current ones are a little better. They are handy if you don't have access to anything else though.

Dave, IMHO:

The online versions have limitations Some more than others; the one I posted has only reverse lookup lacking for example the footnotes are often either unavailable OR difficult to decipher Yet rarely an issue with vast majority of usual queries. And there is no reverse lookup by part number Tru Dat. Some of the older online EPC's had data missing or some inaccuracies, maybe the current ones are a little better This one is as completely UTD in my experience as realistically need be, has never led me astray when guiding my orders to mboem. They are handy if you don't have access to anything else though ...Or unwilling to go through what sounds like an otherwise PITA to set up with e.g. XP. 🙂

I used it without a hitch to order all the Euro parts to Sportline my 420 and CE (the one I got the Sportline steering box from you years ago), and lotsa lotsa routine stuff along the way without missteps.
I think a lot of the simple part # requests could be easier and more quickly answered “in house”.

Dave, if you have the chance, give this one a try for a bit and correct me if I’m wrong.
TIA
