I'm wondering how many instances there have been where E500E owners have had to replace their gearbox wiring loom. I believe they were constructed using the notorious degrading wiring, but am also assuming that as this particular loom is not subject to the same heat exposure as the upper and lower engine wiring looms, then instances of it needing replacement are fairly small?
Of course, the problem now is the item is NLA, so I assume a rebuilt loom made to a pattern provided by the owner is the only option? Does anyone have experience of having this done?
