Stephan,

Same here. Condolences on losing your Dad.
I missed your earlier post while on a Med Cruise.

Congrats on your 3rd WIN!! I know you work hard to get these kinds of results. You deserve the recognition.

lol
Heeeeuyy Terry :) Thank you sooooo much for super kind words.I apreaciate your words alot.Yeah it was pretty much an unreal experience winning this award for the 3rd time..and this time around..it was quite special taking home the price for my father :)

You are a very skilled man and deserve your wins! Gone but never forgotten, our parents live forever thru the work and passions we employ. I miss my Mom, but I get to honor my Dad next week when I repair a litany of items on my gift for him a few months back, a 94 E420 that he cherishes. Excellent work my friend and thank you for your contributions.
Thank you sooo much mister .I am humbled by your words. So ..i dont know what to say really.I like to hear about you honoring your dad .That is a precious thing indeed! .Stefan

Hey @lowman -- I was just wondering about you not 3 days ago, and I'm happy to see that you are back. Congratulations on your third win. It's great that others consistently recognize the benefits of (and hard work involved with) Lowmania !

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I hope you have been dealing with it OK. Since losing my own dad 3.5 years ago, I got many of his tools that I wanted, a workbench he made himself, and other items of much sentimental value. And I enjoy using his tools (though many of them are redundant with my own) in my own shop because it makes me think of him. I hope you too are able to have and enjoy such memories. As Louis says, our parents are gone, but live on within and through us.
Heyyyy boss honcho .Thank you soooo much for kind words. That meaaans alot to me..and i love hearing about "your story " aswell.I can really relate to that alot. And yes..the memories stays always.I hope you are doing great by the way :)

The Sierra Cosworth was so fast and so easy to steal it was the favorite getaway car of bandits - and joy-riders - to the point where it was almost impossible to insure without breaking the bank. Such an awesome car.
heyyy mister.Yes..they certanly were a fast car back in the day..and it remained an icon .I remember when getting my first car..after getting my drivers license...A Sierra Sapphire Cosworth..at the age of 24...i payed one hell of a insurance premium.I remember it so well..i had to get a small loan to get the car..and i didnt even check the insurance premium before AFTER i had got the car..and i was blown away ..beeing told that the premium at that time was 2500 euros a year...these days i pay 800 euros for all 3 of my cars...the 500e..Cosworth..and my cheap winter daily Suzuki baleno. So yeah..When i got the first Cosworth..i also rang the different insurance companies...and one of them offered me a quote on insurance for the Cosworth..and that was 8000 euros...which was just another way of saying "We dont want you with that car as our customer".hehe :) This car actually got stolen after me rebuilding the engine..i remember buying a factory new cylinder head for that car.Turned out awesome though..but the joy was short lived..and not long after..i got my first 3door Sierra Cosworth :) Sorry for a long reply :)

hey people
Look.....Look what i have done...i went back to basics :)
Amg Monoblocks...Staggered ones :) These came up for sale locally..and in prettttyyy good condition ..with brand new tires...cheap chinese tires though..but i have to say i am impressed with the grip..and soundlevel..so i am super happy for now. Most likely will refurbish these wheels with new paint, and polished lip..and brand new michelins next season :) but for now..they are good enough .
And i am so happy with going back to these classic wheels....and driving the car now just feels more "solid"....no worries to hit a pothole...a small one at least....as the 3 piece wheels makes you feel like you are running on glass wheels :)

Im here..not just that often. And yesterday..i had a "breakdown".I deleted ALL my youtube content.
Do not ask why...i just ended up doing it..and today..i regret like hell ---so...that is a big bummer.
And today...i sold my 3piece Amg wheels...which kinda sucks too...but...i needed a change for the car..which is why you can see the above post..where the car is sporting the more regular wheels aka Monoblock wheels.Love them to bits though..even though they do make the car abit less "standoutish"
Anyways...thank you for kind words people :)

And I posted that lowmania = kaput

Lowmania will never stop! It just takes different forms I'm sure that Ford is coming on well now

It has to be said the compulsion to delete stuff is a little odd. I recall this owners thread being deleted a few times and then coming back to life....

When a you tube video is deleted is it gone for good? Can it not be undone and brought back no?

Out of interest- why delete stuff like this? Negative comments (by losers) or what is it? It would be hard to build a you tube channel if the content disappears periodically

Hi Lowman, are you really selling the 500E ? :(
Hey mister.Well...nothing is sold until it is sold. But i have had offers here and there..and it was just fuelling my thoughts of selling it..to fund a new project...if i could choose..i would not sell it..but because of owning the car for "a long time"...not that long..but for me it is the longest ive owned a car...when it is at this point..there is not alot more to do with it..in a way...eventhough i consider a project car "never done"...there is also some other circumstances that leads me to think it can be the time to sell it in a way...But like i said..if i had unlimited funds ,,,i would never sell it.So...i will just have to see.If it sells..(and it does seem to be going in that direction with the interest ive been shown)---it is definetly going to a good home..and i will keep track of the car anyway. So i know where he"the car" lives :)

Thank you for kind words..as i do take these words in a good way :) Yes ..the Cosworth is really getting there now.And having fun doing videos on this particular car..
And me beeing a Ford Cosworth guy at heart...(split with a huge Mercedes heart...) it is super nice to get back to a Cosworth now..especially since my father died...
Which is also doing something to me as a person. Both car interest wise..but also how my mood has been.
And this is were the "deleting" stuff comes into the picture.at least a part of it.Its not been a "easy" time here the last 6-20 months..so its been taking its toll, seeing your father perish..and dying in the end.So that is some of the reason.
Another reason is that at some point it all felt just very "useless" in a way...well..not useless, pointless rather.Sometimes you just feel like you are stagnating..and the road to get rid of that feeling can be to just "delete" it ..in a way.
It all sounds very negative...but it isnt that really.it is just a dumb thing i did..and if i could undo that desiscion..i would do so.
But as long as i am not a Youtube Partner.( Aka not making any money of the videos..eventhough i have the "get paid function unlocked")...the deleted content cannnot be restored from the youtube office in a way.So again..it sucks.I still have all the videos on my harddrive though,..so the videos themselves are not gone :)
BUT...i do still upload...and i am in the process of uploading the "best" videos..with the most info. The shitty thing is that my videos tended to be update vlogs. So when now deciding which videos to be reuploaded ,,,it is kinda hard..cause most of them is all out of context in a way. if you understand what i mean.
And you are completely correct..it is NOT easy to rebuild this youtube channel...Number one reason for that is the algoritms work in such a manner that views feeds the algoritms...and therefore showing the videos as "stuff you might like" to viewers on other channels...and getting the videos out there.
And when also considering how many years i spent "building" the channel with alot of videos..and you people viewing them...getting me the views....it is not easy to start that all over again.
Another reason for "deleting" the content..i have to say was because i felt there was just to much "nonsense"......maybe not nonsense...but i felt the videos were not that "great" ..and the new ones are just a tad better i think..so i always felt it was abit "tiresome" having a look at many of the older videos. So this deleting thing has made it possible to cherry pick videos to re upload..and try to start out all over again.
And hopefully it will catch on :)

So i hope this could clarify some stuff you were asking and wondering about :)
And i have to say it is mindblowing ...that i obviously left a "mark" in here..as i did not expect to have a "condition" named after my "work"...nor had i expected to be "missed" in the way i seem to be missed...so i think that is super awesome to see/read..and it does ignite something in me i have to say.So i want to thank ALL of you in here for showing some love :) and engine oils :)

Unlike the tech industry and those people involved in it, which I would obviously include GVZ, I believe your YouTube content or any other content is YOUR content and you can delete it, duplicate it, sell it, do whatever you want because it is YOUR content. So I'm with you lowman. If you want to delete your YouTube stuff, so be it. The only comment that should be made is thanks for doing it and I enjoyed it.

thank you so much man.I apreaciate it.Oh yes..no doubt about that i could or not..it was more a question of "why the hell i decided to do such a stupid thing"...when i put so much into it.but i do reckon one learn from ones mistakes...so..many of the videos will be uploaded as we speak. Its been alot of Ford Cosworth videos lately...but im trying to put out some more 500e videos also .Greetings,Stefan :)

Lowman, yes you took my question as it was intended! And sorry for the loss of your Father

There is no shame or crime in selling your E500 :) FWIW

It's what makes YOU happy with your cars. Friends of mine joke that I enjoy working at my cars more than actually driving them. That might be true in some instances actually. Each to their own. I hope you do keep on this forum and if your E500 does sell (An example as good as that I'm sure will sell easily) that you get another special / rare Benz to work your magic on!

The You Tube description you gave sounds good and I'm sure you will have lots of great stuff coming :new:

Totally agree -- a person's content they post on social media belongs to them, and they can do what they want with it.

Brother, life's complicated and pretty much consists of various forms of suffering - by its nature. For everyone and in all times. Though the suffering is only 10% of life, 90% is how we react to it. For the most part we're in control!
As your trench brothers, enjoy your presence and content here, and want you to be happy! It's a 100% sincere, and not a fake, ceremonial statement

Lowman, FYI... there is a YouTube setting where you can set a video as "Unlisted", which effectively removes it from public access, while not actually deleting it from YouTube. In the future, if you decide you want to pull your vids, don't delete them - set them as "unlisted" instead.

:jono:

i know :)

Lowman, your videos helped me more than once. I always liked your video introductions, it made me smile. You definitely leave your cars in much better shape than when you first bought them, so whoeever owns it afterward is lucky. And yes our cars are just things and should not be the most important things in our lives. Enjoy it while you can. If the joy is gone move on....

Heyy people :)
Thank you all for kind comments :) Im still in the process of trying to gather out which videos to re upload really. As many of them were kinda "project" related..it feels somewhat hard to pick and choose..as they were all linked in a way ..so ive said it before...i regret so much for deleting them..but sometimes crap decicions are made.
Anyways...i had some great photos taken of the car(but also the Ford Sierra)..as i was to have a feature in a magazine..with my two cars.So i will upload these here for you to see :)

Stephan,

Thanks for the hand picked pics:thumbsup2:. Both cars look to be in concourse condition. I especially like the shot of the 500 overlooking the farm house and the sea. The scenery in Norway looks as clean as your cars.

If your cars show up in a magazine, please post the article for us.

BTW, Do you still have “Black Beauty”?

Don’t be a stranger we miss your presence here on the board.

Take Care

Just now catching this development. So, sorry for your loss Stefan. Life is all about changes, and sometimes one, two, or a few are needed. Thanks for all your contributions here, and I hope you keep checking in from time to time! :cheers2:

A little update...
Unfortunatly...my black beauty is sold :( So.....im not a 036 owner anymore... :( Already i miss it like hell...
On the other hand...one thing i can say...is that...i have got myself another m119 car ;)
Place your bets :)
