Looks like we got another knowledgeble person with a beautiful car !
Love you color it is just astonishing especially with Evo !
You have a right attitude to 036 replacing everything it needs and does not need just to make it look better !

Diagnostic software is reporting the year of the software in the E-GAS module. It cannot tell when the ETA was manufactured. The date code on the label is what you need to check, and yep, yours is a newer one so you can relax.I also checked my ETA...and it seems that it is made in 2005....?but how come on my diagnostic it says "software 1992.....?can someone please verify what year my ETA is?

No, it's not written in stone. A newer ETA can still cause problems if the internal potentiometers are worn. This is relatively rare, but not unheard of. Difficult to diagnose without swapping in another ETA!

Brakes will swap over (need the front LCA's too), but otherwise there isn't much useful from the R129. The differential is not the same either, it's a reinforced housing and there isn't any advantage to it (if it will fit at all, which I'm not sure about). Transmission bellhousing is different so you can't use the tranny either. But, it would be a nice donor in case you wanted to build a 7.4L M120 for your 500E...can i ask you a question gsxr... do you know of any parts from w129 600sl that fits the 92 500e ?
there is a 1994 model 600sl available for parts not far from where i live...
i think about brakes....suspension stuff...differential...rear beam...and so on...not electrical as that is self explenatory![]()
is the rear beam the same you know?Brakes will swap over (need the front LCA's too), but otherwise there isn't much useful from the R129. Pretty sure the rear subframe and axles are different. The 5 links should be the same but you probably wouldn't want used ones. Rear sway bar is probably narrower.is the rear beam the same you know?

If it's really, where did you get it? I've tried to search mats for long time and dealer says that they are NLA.
A bit OT..
In that picture which is taken from the trunk of your car seems that you have unopened set of velour floor mats, or am I seeing correct? Do you really have new velour floor mat kit?If it's really, where did you get it? I've tried to search mats for long time and dealer says that they are NLA.
Really nice car you have, hope you get her fixed!

Hello Guest !
We wanted to let you know about a new resource that is now available to all 500Eboard members. This is a comprehensive database of all US-market (and soon to include Canadian-market) 500E and E500 models delivered for the 1992 through 1994 model years.
Data for this resource has been compiled continuously since mid-2003, and much of this information is seeing the light of day for the very first time ever. This new resource will allow you to utilize 500Eboard research and resources to track specific cars, their sale history, documented modifications, and other information that has surfaced over the years.
We are also providing analytics about the cars' production. This means that if you are curious as to how many "Signal Red" cars were produced for the US market with a black interior, specifically in Model Year 1993, you can now easily find this information. You can also find aggregated information -- for example, how many "Black Pearl" cars were imported into the US over the three-year span.
You can always find and enjoy this resource by clicking here (bookmark the site for easy reference!), or by going to the “500Eboard Registry and VIN Database” sub-forum below. You can also find a VIN Database button at the top of your screen, for easy access.
We hope you enjoy this resource. A LOT of blood, sweat and tears over nearly 23 years have gone into its creation.
Cheers,
500Eboard Management
