Delighted with new board! Thanks to all who make it possible.

I am in need of a couple of body parts:

    1) The small plastic clips that hold on the roof trim on my '92 500E. This is a two-piece part a white part that holds on to the metal roof trim, and a green wedge that pinches the parts into the roof body channel.

    2) New rubber covers for the rear view mirrors. This is the piece that flexes between the mirrors themselves and the door frame. Need both sides.

Who's got them? Where can I buy? Or do I need to buy from MB dealer?

    Thanks!

The Dealer would be the best source for the parts..or Try the Mercedes Benz Classic Center ask for Tom Hanson
he is the parts manager..and has told me he WILL get 124/036 parts as needed as well as a decent price @ 20% off the real list..Not the dealer adjusted list

The mirror covers are not 036 specific. Most of these are showing their age, probably best to just source new ones. I have replaced several sets of these and I found that the older ones will come apart when you try and remove them, so even if you locate some used ones, getting them off in one piece can pose a challenge.

Rik is correct -- the black rubber caps are generic to W124s, earlier and later alike.

    The left-side cap is part number A 124 811 01 61.
    The right-side cap is part number A 124 811 04 61.

They are not expensive to purchase through the dealership. I'd recommend ordering them through buymbparts.com or another discounter.

    Cheers,
    Gerry

Thanks! Appreciate the responses on the clips and rear view mirror covers. As parts are not that expensive I called the local Mercedes dealership and ordered.
