Part number 1996 G36 AMG fuel line?

Hello, i am new to this forum, my name is Ben, i am 35 years old and drive a 1996 Mercedes G36 AMG

Yesterday i was about to replace a leaking fuel hose underneath the fuel tank (Part A4634761426). While wrenching, the fuel line made from metal that runs underneath the whole length of the car got damaged (from the short hose to the motor). I now need a new fuel line, but i seem to be too stupid to find the correct part number to order it. Can somebody provide the correct number?

Thx

Ben

There are two fuel lines that are attached to the fuel tank.

One is #5 in the diagram, which is the feed line that goes from the fuel tank to the fuel pump. It is MB part number 463 470 00 75. Interestingly, I believe this hose was NLA from MB as of a couple of years ago.

The other one is #56 in the diagram, which attaches to the hard fuel return line (running under the truck) that leads back from the fuel cooler, MB part number 461 476 02 26.

The short line going from the fuel tank to the pump (#5) does appear to be available -- in the US at a list price of $112, discounted to around $85-90.

The return line to the fuel tank (#56) also appears to be available from MB - a US list price of $42, discounted to around $32-35.

The hard metal line that runs along the bottom of the truck from the fuel cooler to the fuel tank return hose (above) is #50 in the diagram, part number 463 470 03 64 -- this has been superseded to MB part number 461 470 03 64, and appears to be available from MB, with US list price of $65, discounted to around $50.

Thanks, i need the "hard (metal/steel?) Fuel return line that is running underneath the truck.

Thanks!

Were the original hard lines corroded at all?

Typically hard lines are replaced with something like Kunifer pipes. Ie, bend and flare up your own new fuel line which will outlast any steel factory pipes and much cheaper to boot VS buying a factory steel pipe from dealer.

Also think how the line is installed as the steel lines may need bent to fit anyway.

FYI I did order all available fuel line, houses, clamps etc to a 1995 G320 about three years ago. I sold the car last month and still have the parts. I believe some of the parts now are NLA. If you are interested to buy all the fuel-related parts to a nice discounted price please send me a PM (I live in Europe as you).

I’d be interested in those parts if they’re still available
