May I ask the experts, has anyone here upgraded the m119 4.0 engine to 5.0 and installed a supercharger? Can you tell me about the durability and stability when installing a supercharger?
There was never a 4.0L M119 produced. I assume you are talking about replacing a 4.2L engine with a 5.0L engine... not modifying a 4.2L engine to be larger displacement. Right?
I don't know anyone who has done this as DIY. There are some aftermarket M119 supercharger kits made by Albrex (some sold by Koenig with their name on it), but I only know of a tiny number - low single digits - that actually exist. Power gains are around 30%, pushing a stock 5.0L M119 to maybe 400-420hp at the crank, using the factory engine management with a 9th injector that adds fuel under boost conditions. With lots of custom work and R&D you might be able to push this higher using full standalone engine management, higher boost levels, and maybe lower compression ratio ($$$$).
The M119 is stout can should be able to handle whatever power gains you are able to get from it. Check out the guy who posted here with a turbocharged M119 making something like 800hp IIRC, in a race application.
sorry for saying 4.0 capacity i want to upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0 and can i install supercharger, there is an article i said. in my country no 500e was imported at that time. 400e is the highest now
