Rear windscreen seal replacement.

HI Everyone,

I need to replace the seals on my rear windscreen as it's letting in water... Has anyone got the part numbers for the seals I need please so I can order them?

I am hoping not to have to replace the chrome strip so don't need the part number for that, just the others.

If anyone has the seals available or where I can order them from, can you let me know too please.

Thanks

Steve

The rear windshield is glued in place. The rubber seals around the rear windshield serve to hold the metal trim against the glass, not to prevent the ingress of water. It is very unusual for the urethane glue to fail and let water in, but if you absolutely must remove and reseal it, make sure the glass shop uses a "Rollout" or "WRD Spyder" type tool to remove it.

There is a rust spot where the water is coming in so that could be the cause then. either way the window will have to come out so the bodywork can be fixed. Could I reuse the old seals then if that's the case?

Thank you for the part numbers and advice. Much appreciated.

Will these will definitely fit a 1993 500E?

Steve
