Replacing ETA again

I'm trying to locate a replacement ETA for my E420.

I replaced the original one about 4 years ago with one from an S500, which worked fine until a couple of months ago.

Due to health reasons, I can't do the R&R myself, so I'm at the mercy of my mechanic.

I've located one on EBay which has an ID of 000 141 93 25.

The date appears to be 2000.

My original ETA has an ID of 000 141 94 25.

Is this an appropriate replacement?

Thanks,
Rob

Does your car have ASR, or no ASR? Or, does your ETA have a green and white striped label, or just a plain white label?

It has ASR. White labels.

I'm thinking the best option is to have Don Roden rebuild my original ETA.

I've sent you another message asking if you know the cost in US$.

I've tried calling but have not had success getting through to him.

Thanks for your help.

Rob

Definitely your best option is to have Don Roden rebuild your original! Cost should be in the ±$350 ballpark.

Part # 000-141-93-25 is NOT correct, that is a green-label ETA for non-ASR vehicles.

Thank you so much. The rebuild should guarantee this won't happen again in 4 years!

No question, have Don do it. You'll have it back just a few days after he receives it. Hopefully the flooding down that way in the past days hasn't negatively affected him. I'd use the contact info I posted for him, and give him a phone call and speak with him first. Tell him what you want to have done. He'll take care of you, as long as he is able to.

Had a great conversation with Don Roden. I'm going to send the ETA off tomorrow. Price will be $399 US, compared to mechanic who was going to have to pay $1100. Win.

Thanks again, guys. Maybe when I get it back I'll feel well enough to install it myself.

Don is above me in Alabama and got nothing from the storm so is not an issue. Will have Don build mine for the non ASR 420 soon. Cruse inop surge at idle so this ones toast. Bought it used and installed it 3 years ago so going rebuilt this time.
