Rev Limiter upshift problem

In case the answer is that it might be the ASR unit, I was looking online for another one. I see quite a few with the same part number: 010 545 99 32. Next to that is a sticker with, in my case, 04701/91M10 (circled in the photo). Is that last number also important?

I looked in a Mercedes book, and if I understand correctly, to check the left rear axle sensor, I need to turn the rear wheel while measuring between pin 32 and pin 33 (connector 1) and then measure > 0.1 Volts.

91M10 is the date code... October 1991 production. These numbers don't matter, just match the Mercedes part number 010 545 99 32.

Schematics for the ASR sensors are at the link below, that should tell you what pins to measure for all 4 sensors:

Also this doc:

Ahhh thanks for the date-information. When I look into those schedules I do see pin 26, output L6/4… but no connector at my car. But initially I will follow my Benz ASR test schedule…. Thank you 👍 I will keep you updated

I did follow my Mercedes ‘ASR test program’. Without any special equipment it’s a bit limited but enough information to check the sensors. To check if I was measuring correctly I first tested the right front wheel sensor.

Test 14.0

So pin 2.13 (see photo) means pin 13 at connector 2. I measured AC Volt between 2.13 and 2.34; when rotating the wheel by hand ; 0,1 ~ 0.2 Volt which according the test is fine.

Test 14.1

Pin 2.40 and 2.34 resistance was > 20 kOhm ( my multimeter indicated OL). Test ok.

Test 14.2

Pin 2.13 and 2.34 resistance was 1050 Ohm , so test ok ( range should be 800 - 2300 Ohm ).

Next I did check the left rear sensor.

Test 16.0

Pin 1.32 and 1.33 AC Volt : 0 AC Volt, so not good

Test 16.1

Pin 2.40 and 1.33 test ok

Test 16.2

Pin 1.32 and 1.33 700 Ohm, so test ok.

Test for right rear sensor same indications so it look like both rear sensors are not ok. Resistance ok, but no voltage output when rotating the wheels by hand. (Rotating the rear wheel is more difficult than the front ones, so maybe… I am not strong enough…).
