    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

Saw my first stationary 400E today

:shocking: Cutting thru town today on my way home from a grocery store & saw a decent stock 400E parked curbside. First time I've ever seen one sitting still & first time I've ever seen one here in the Hinterlands.

199 with a Tobacco / Camel interior (...not Beige or :mushroom:).

Not quite as rare as Bigfoot, but probably the only one I'll ever see for some time, so I took a couple pics.

Interior would be code xx4, on a 400E that's Palomino (referred to as "Date" in the EPC). The color changed for the facelifted E420, to "Saddle".

:matrix:

You get an "E" for effort, but no yank award. Sorry.

:whistling2:

That tobacco color is nice.I think it was also called 'cognac' in the 108/109 series.

Good call. Cognac...yes, the descriptor it should be. I'll have two, VSOP, by the way...

Old school rules!

 A sad reality is that here in the Hinterlands, where I currently am exiled, this is the only 400E/E420 I have ever seen (...and why I was taken aback upon its sighting). I am the only 500E/E500 (which is kinda cool in an exclusive way)...and, I've only seen two local 300E/E320s.

No other local W124s on the road & none encountered in the local boneyards in @5 years.
Reality check. The proverbial clock is ticking. :rip:
