Signing the posts with your first name

Hi mates.

I should like that people were signing the posts with their first name, it's a nice gesture. If someone don't like it they can use a cover name, however it's at least a name. It's hard to make it as a forum requirement, but it could be an incentive.

My first name is Arnt, but as most of you have noticed I use to write -arnt- ...that's only a cool style used for many years.

I'm with ya, Arnt / Anita. I'd like to take it a step further and get people to post their location in their profile (at least a country!), and better yet the year/model of their car. This info makes it a lot easier when trying to answer questions. Hmmm, wonder if the location thing could be a forced requirement for registration, lol... maybe Gerry could check into that.

I have asked people at a couple of points over the past couple of years to add their name, location, car and upload/link to an avatar if they have one. I agree that a name or first name would be great. Makes everything more friendly.

Thanks to those who do use a name and avatar. If you haven't completed your profile and uploaded an avatar image, PLEASE DO SO !!
