WANTED Speaker for left door

ESX - Q-W124

The kit shown above is for the dash speakers only. The door midbass drivers are a funky size and impedance.

EDIT: The ESX kit appears to be designed for models with a 1492 head unit, only used in USA on facelift cars, model years 1994-1995. The electrical connectors for plug+play will only fit the 1492 HU. Can't use that amplifier/connectors with the 1432 used on 1991-1993 USA model year cars (all 400E/500E). I don't think it will fit the 1986-1990 USA models either, which use yet another type of radio HU.

Current eBay market for OEM W124 door speakers:
• Individual door speakers are listed around $84–$125 each
• The “Active Bass” door speaker upgrade set (part numbers 1248201902 + 1248202002) — which was an optional upgrade on select W124s and is no longer available new from Mercedes — commands a premium on the used market
In general, a working pair of original door speakers in good condition is worth roughly $100–$200 for the pair on eBay or the 500Eboard community. The Active Bass variants fetch more. The 500E’s cult following keeps demand solid for correct OEM parts.

And these are the door speakers?
And will fit a 500 e?
Yes, the front door speakers that @northNH shows above with the Green decals are correct / original for all E500E (and, all 124 from 1991-up with optional Sound System). Note that Active Bass are standard door speakers, Sound System is the better / upgraded audio system with different / fancier door speakers. Active Bass was standard on all 124's in USA from 1991-up, Sound System was optional on most 124's but standard on all 034/036 models in USA.

Installation is easy AFTER you remove the front door panels, which can be tricky if you have never done it before. Watch some YouTube videos, better yet go to a self-serve salvage yard and find a 124 to practice on before attempting it on your 500E. Installation can be fiddly, make sure ALL the hooks are seated properly and the panel is 100% flat against the door before adding all the removable pieces back in place.
