Taking apart a gear knob?

The top emblem has two sided tape holding it on, the plastic parts are glued to the wood, if I remember correctly the glue is around the top of the wood, where it meets the plastic. Not too difficult to get apart but you need a sharp blade to wedge between the wood and plastic. Heat also helps loosen up the glue.
