Three-way heater hose

I'm sure a few of you have replaced the three-way heater hose (left side of cowl area), is there a thread covering this and if not does anybody have some suggestions for the most pain-free approach?

Done that on my last car, small hands work best ! Also make sure the hard to reach end is on all the way on when you tighten that clamp, mine was not and it came off a few days latter. Had to redo it again, bit of a pain.

Dan, are you joining us this weekend for the SoCal 500Eboard Spring GTG Extravaganza: April 12-13 ????

Unfortunately I'll be preoccupied by the mentioned heater hose and the rewiring of the ETA on my second car, looks like it would've been a great opportunity to meet Gerry and thank him in person for his power steering pump write-up that I made use of not long ago.

This will be the second time I replace the three-way hose (first time on this car) but the space to work in looks a lot smaller than I remember. I'd be willing to try doing a write-up w/pics for the benefit of those encountering the tell-tale mysterious coolant puddle for the first time.

What a bummer that you can not make it being local and all. Why not just bring another car and enjoy meeting the members and seeing their cars ?

I just finished reading the GTG thread and it looks like good times to say the least; while I hate to make excuses my fleet of running cars is down to two - one E420 employed in regular use by my girlfriend and the other being a somewhat less than pristine '62 Skylark. Should you ever get the opportunity to try out a less than pristine '62 Skylark as a commuter you will truly understand why I want to deal with my heater hose ASAP.
