Hello all,

I have an issue regarding the timing chain..

Ive experienced abfaliure in the engine during tdriving, I have noticed for a noise similar to fan that toucinh the cover. I opened the valves cover and mesured the 45 point. I have noticed that the pinned angle is at 27, for all camshafts…

What is the right and simplest way to recalibrate the timing chain?

Whoa. Was the engine running like that? Your photo shows 270°, which if my maths are correct, would be 135° out of synch.

You need to rotate the crank to 45° BTDC, remove the chain from all sprockets, and rotate the cams until they pin, then re-assemble.

However, you also need to fix the root cause of the problem, which is likely multiple broken chain guide rails. Otherwise it will happen again.

And you'll need to do a compression test, and hope there aren't any bent valves.

Follow the FSM procedure:
