I'm R&Ring my trans and the tube to head bolt is a nightmare, whats everyone's trick? I eventually ground down a 13mm 1/4 drive socket to get in there and I am pretty sure its permanently attached the bolt now. Once I loosened the bolt I was able to get the trans off. This seems very much like a engine out bolt access

Recently did that, important that transmission bracket is fully bolted up, i.e. engine in regular mounting position. Remove the upper firewall piece. Use a 13mm angled ring spanner, they are available with a slight angle to the handle piece. Once loosend, depending on space you might have to use a straight ring spanner and switch sides as it might not give you enough rotation to use the next notch. It's a pita but is possible. Stay calm and focused...

I was able to get at it with a ground socket like I stated but and angled 13mm would be key. I am surprised it wasn't mentioned in any article on here.
