Transmission Mount (140-240-03-18) NLA: Aftermarket now available 8/2025

In the meantime waiting for my genuine front motormounts,,,,,,,,,

In the quest for both restoring, but also trying to eliminate a little whirring/vibration sound in my car,One of the things i focused on ,was the transmission mount. The one on my car does really not seem bad at all and I have a feeling that it is of a newer date,as it both feels fresh rubberwise, but also the center part does sit up quite high in the housing, indicating it is not really worn at all.
However, i bought the transmission mount from Kurth classic, and now when i have mounted it, I have mixed feelings.
First, the fact that it visually and reality wise does sit more or likely in the same height as my old one, is kinda not what I was hoping. It does however make the transmission sit abit higher due to it beeing brand new,and more than likely alot stiffer rubber( seems abit like polyurethane to me)?
Also the housing beeing aluminium, i did not like
Also, when handling the mount and examening it, you can clearly feel it is alot stiffer, which I really do not like ,as it most likely will transfer more noise
On a positive note, when initially taking the car out for the first test, it felt alot tighter, which is good.
But when I got used to it after half an hour drive,i noticed more transmission noise than before
Which definetly put me off.
So it became a very mixed experience for me,So I will definetly put the old one back in, or at least keep an eye out going forward..
For what its worth, here are some pics

Just a new update.
I have put back the genuine transmission mount, and that got rid of the terrible transmission noise that appeared after i put on the Kurth Classic transmission mount on yesterday.Happy me 😃
And I had another look today ,and it is definetly a polyurethane/Silicone? mount.Which explain the exessive transmission noise.
So because of that, the transmission mount from Kurth classic, gets a thumb down from me.
Luckily my genuine transmission mount is almost as brand new,
