Transmission rpm on highway..

Hello all,

my first post here, is there any source or is anyone familiar with the correct RPM for highway driving? For example at 80mph I'm at around or a little over 3k, is this normal? I haven't had a w124 in a long time .. I'm used to my jeeps 6speed and my 2011 e350s 7speed lol.. Someone refresh me please!

Depends on the year and model in question, but for an E500E, yes, around 3000rpm at 80mph is correct/normal.
