Trunk Netting

No, there was no factory trunk netting ever made "officially" available by MB.
If I remember correctly, the trunk netting for newer cars (W210 or W211?) is adaptable for use on the W124. We seem to have had a group buy some years back -- I recall that Jimbo? organized it -- whereby some trunk netting was purchased from a later model for our cars. Unfortunately, the unopened trunk netting package that I ordered through this group buy is still hanging on my garage wall above my workbench, to be installed someday.......
I can pull the MB part number off of the package when I get home tonight.

Actually I believe there is a Mercedes Benz net that was available via the accessory catalog...it was good for the W201/w124. I'll need to dig up the part number....probably NLA

Ahh, cool, and thanks for posting the number. You are probably right on the NLA, which is why the group buy was done for the later E-class nets.
Trunk cargo net BQ-675-0023 was for the W210, I believe, but also fits the W124. NLA when I last tried to buy one in December 2011.
They are very hard to find used. The correct ones are "folded in half" with the ends sewn together. If you do find one used on eBay, they almost never include the mounting hardware. We have one of these in my wife's car and love it. Wish we had bought more when still available ($20 new at the time).
