Hey people
I think i have asked this before...but i will ask again.
Does anyone have, or has anyone seen some kind of proof that the 3piece staggered Amg wheels were fitted to the e500e"s ,by AMG? Im talking about if there are some type of TUV paper floating around, or at least a brochure that says these wheels can be fitted to the e500e?

Anyone..? Any info is much apreaciated20250817_180121.jpg

The official brochure I believe states 8.5J all around, I don’t think the staggered setup ever came on the 124036. Staggered was for the 126 series cars.

So it seems that these were never offered for the w124036...?That sucks,,because they can then never be easily legally fitted to the car then..damnit.

Thank you .That is definetly something along the lines that i am after.Though it does say here that only 8.5x17 ET30 was for the 036"s :( Would be cool to have one of these " brochures from even earlier...This one shown here,is somewhat " updated/new" as it also speaks about " facelifts...maybe older ones would say different? Most likely not..but still...this is the stuff i am after.

I did a quick search and found a couple of links to the AMG approval for these wheels for the R129: Prüfbericht 18 10 07 1354/1
If you get this document you will at least have something. Maybe contact TÜV Nord Mobility and ask if they have an approval for the 500E in their files already, you never know. It surprises me that so many 500E500 run with this wheel setup in Germany - which IMO means that they carries an approval. Maybe some German members here know more about this.

BTW, I have a crack free set of these wheels myself which needs refurbishment, mostly the lips & barrels. I may end up running with them, so I will look for this approval as well. I let you know if/when I find something.

There is no official Paperwork from MB for the 8.5/10.0 setup on the e500e, only 8.5s on all corners.
Back then you could order them at your dealer in stagered, but it was everytime special inspection at German TÜV. They used the r129/w126 Paperwork back then for axel weight etc. or still do..

for the „Historic/Classic Number Plate“ (30years) in Germany, the TÜV approves the 8.5/10.0 setup for: „Time-Correct-Modification“of the car. there is no trouble!

Thanks, that sounds promising!
That means it should be possible to achieve this approval for the 500E500 on a general basis. Who/where can be requested for this, I mean at which TÜV office or branch? Here in Norway we use TÜV Nord Mobility for ECE certification when importing cars.
