Russians are the most fanatical MB enthusiasts I know. Perhaps it's because they were are hungrier and think outside the box. I saw a thread where one guy converted a 6 speed transmission to fit in his 500e. And here in the states with the access to many machine shops and car enthusiasts, all we have to show for our desire to have a manual transmission in a 500e is in that light blue 500e with the Renntech manual transmission swap . . . .
 
The twin-scroll turbo setup reminds me of the Sauber M119 twin-turbo.
