Vacuum locking, the pump keeps running in "unlock" mode.

I am trying to diagnose why my lock / unlock pump (under rear right seat area) keeps running for ~30 seconds every time I hit "unlock" on my remote fob or actuate it by opening locked door from inside the car.
It seems to operate fine in "lock" mode, runs only for a second, until all 4 doors, trunk and fuel door lock but when I hit "unlock", all locks seem to unlock without delay, yet the pump keeps buzzing for a while, until it shuts off.
Perhaps one of the locks is not reporting the "up" position, if there is such a thing?

Yes sounds like the car has an air leak somewhere or the shut off switch on the pump is broken / mal adjusted.

If you can hear no air leaks and each line passes a mityvac test may be useful to try a good used spare pump in it too.

It does shut off, after about 30 seconds of running at "unlock" cycle.

Don't forget the actuators for the trunk lock, and gas flap.

If ALL the lines hold both vacuum and pressure, JC220 is correct, try a different pump.

The pump should shut down sooner than 30 seconds!

The electrical wires to doors only trigger the pump. From there the pump senses the vacuum or pressure (depending on lock or unlock) and kills the motor when limit reached.

So you are either not reaching the vacuum or pressure limit due to a leak or the off switch on the pump is bad.

And this is the right answer!

Fixed it!

It seems that vacuum / pressure sensor inside the pump was sticking in one direction. I gave it a good shvitz of WD40 and it started to work both directions. The pump device inside is very brilliant in a primitive way.
