Water penetration

hello
Something went wrong with my e500, the mechanic mentioned that water penetrating the engine caused by temperature overheat , and this was not from the head gasket, this looks very serious I guess , need help

The car had in the beginning had water leakage , inspection of the oil showed the oil is mixed with water, the mechanic concluded that the head gasket need to be changed. The job was done. Before testing the car was filled with coolant water , surprisingly and before starting the engine the coolant was leaking and not externally, but it was internally as the coolant was seeping from the drain plug when open,
The spark plugs were checked, the combustion chambers too , they were ok.
I hope this explain the situation for you to find out what went wrong.

If coolant is entering the oil pan and NOT the combustion chambers... I dunno... cracked head or cracked block? Possibly a plug popped out of place? Next step is to drop the oil pan and pressurize the cooling system and see if you can pinpoint where the coolant is coming from (left side, right side, front, back, etc).

:detective:

What are the part numbers of the head gaskets ?
Wdb1240361c153060 , just to make sure there was no updates of them

It was the head gasket, the one we mistakenly used was for 92 model I guess. The mechanic is testing the car tomorrow,
One thing that he mentioned
, that centre air vents closed and does not blow air for A/C , I don’t know what is going on, this issue never has happed before

I would review the center air vent on your own. Mechanic may not have any idea about the air vent system (ie wrong gaskets used). The two are not related Hope the other things will be addressed with vin accurate parts if this amount of work is going into this. Heads off give you opportunity to do so many things simply like intake rubber refresh, breathing tube refresh, vacuum tubes/connectors basically all soft parts are fossils so replace them. Tandem pump hoses, engine mounts (3) chain guides etc

Yikes! How did they install the wrong head gasket?!!

If the center dash vents do not blow air when the temperature is set to "cold", you need to test if the vacuum pod is good (opens the flap when vacuum is applied, and does not leak down). If the vacuum pod has failed, the entire dash must be removed to fix this. Big job. Very common failure on the 124 chassis. More info here.
