what part in the ETA would cause this code ?EFP module 051 idle speed safety contact m16/1s2??

If your throttle body has its wires replaced it could be worn out brusches for s2 switch or broken ribboncable soldering joints on the potentiometer PCB. If you have old wiring, i would start there.

yes original wirring . will change them over winter . this code only comes on on rare ocassions and car goes into limp mode , then I restarts and all ok .

Ertech, what is the date code on the ETA? Also, is the car pre-facelift with large flat connector, or facelift with the compact/cylinder connector?

Not sure about the date code. It’s a facelift

All facelift ETA's have wiring/pigtails with bad insulation, so you'll need to start there.

Pre-facelift ETA's often have good wiring/pigtails, which is why I asked... generally don't need to rewire pre-facelift ETA's.
