I got those Rims, and want to order tires for them. Can somebody suggest right size tires without problems? Dont have any spacers.
Have 2 options:
1. 225/40/18 Front and 255/35/18 Back
2. 245/40/18 Front and 275/35/18 Back

i searched forum, but usually ET on rimms are suggested in 30-40 range. SInce i have 44 and 46, im not sure how will they work in combination with abouve mentioned tires.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Your wheels are for an S-class which is why they have higher numerical offset. You'll need 20mm hubcentric, bolt-on spacers to make these look correct. You will also need special hybrid lug bolts with M12 thread and R14 ball seat.

Go with option #2 on the tire sizes. The 225/255 sizes are too narrow, and unnecessary for clearance on a 500E with flared fenders. 245/275 will work fine with 20mm spacers.

do you know if these rims with these specs would work on a 95 E320?

The 9.5" rear will stick out past the E320 rear fender. Also, with that offset, I'm not sure if it would rub on the inside somewhere. These are S-class wheels, not meant for an E-class.

On a standard 124, you really don't want to go beyond 8.5" wide and even that's really pushing the limits. A lot of modifications (fender spacers, fender lip rolling) are required to fit 8.5".

what do you think would be the best spec for a E320? i want maximum tire width that i can fit without haveving any issues and preferably no spacers and would be great if its a mercedes rim, what do you suggest?

I'd aim for an 8.0" square setup all around, ET34-ET38 or so (ET30 is about the limit). You can fit a 235 section width tire on that all around. The Evo wheels would also be a great option (8.25" x ET34), with 235/45/17 tires. Any of these will require fender spacers and fender lip rolling for clearance. Click the link below for details.

Forget 19's. Full stop. On a standard 124, I wouldn't even use 18's but if you could find 18x8.0 with ET in the low 30's that could work.

i found a set of 18 by 8 ET31 all 4, good deal, do you think its a good option? 225/40/r18

@TOPnotch55,
I had trouble w/ 225/45-17s on Monoblocks on my long gone 86 300E that was also lowered on Eibach Springs. After messing with this setup for about a year I switched to a set of 215/50-17 tires for a better ride and still had a slight rub on the fronts in high speed dips (above 65 MPH).

My advice if you’re E320 is a 124 is find a car (maybe a friend or MB Club Member) that already has a setup you would like and try and go for a ride in it or at least ask the Owner how it rides.

Assuming we're talking about a stock E320 here, brakes that require 18" wheels would be massive, massive overkill. The wheels, tires, and brakes will cost more than the car is worth.

Just get the "Silver Arrow" brakes, they will be all you need for stopping power, AND they fit under 17's... and look great with, for example, Evo II wheels... which will all bolt up and look great on the E320.

is it possible to put wider in the back?
You can go slightly wider in the back but it will be difficult to find a set of staggered 18" wheels that aren't wider than 8.5" in the rear. Not sure any exist. Trying to put wider than 8.5" on the rear of a standard 124 is a fool's errand.

Yep, those will work. You'll need the fender spacers & serious lip rolling as described in the AMG document I posted earlier.

i was thinking maybe to do 3 pot caliper in front and 2 pot in the rear, i saw someone on youtube do that with a set of calipers from AMG model can’t remember exactly wich one but it looked very nice, requires some custom caliper brackets but i really liked it

do you think is possible to mix and match 2 different sets of monoblocs to get a wider wheel in the back?

like 18/8 et31 front and 18/8.5 in the rear ?

The 6-pot front and 4-pot rears is a great setup for the E500E. Not many people have done this though, it's a bit overkill with stock 5.0L power at USA speed limits. And, it's NOT a bolt-on... cutting & grinding may be required, along with custom hoses, and possibly brackets.

This setup would be silly on a stock E320 though.

For reference, here's what 17"x 8.25 Evo II wheels look like with the Silver Arrow brakes. The rotor fills up the wheel nicely:

what do you think about this combination on the E320?
18/8 et31 245/40
18/9 et35 275/35
plus all the modifications from the amg document that you shared
