I happened to be hop-scotching my way thru the links of German Cars for Sale Blog when a blog title captured my fancy... "German Cars Well Represented in Watkins Glen" http://germancarsforsaleblog.com/?s=500E&x=9&y=9

Within a listing of photo captions was stated, "13. a cherry 500E with some contemporary German pals."

Lo & behold, the blogger's "cherry" 500E is DerFuror. Rather flattering . The contemporary German pals were all from Canada & all quite nice pieces of machinery...including a white Porsche 944, powder blue Porsche 911 Cabriolet & yellow non-German Ferrari GT250 ragtop.

Alas, upon the holy ground of Watkins Glen International the usual stealthy cloaking power of the anonymous W124 500E is rendered impotent...
