I have placed three orders with MB Naperville over the past 4-6 weeks, as I gather parts for my C126 rear subframe replacement, and everything has arrived very quickly, communication has been good, and the orders have been accurate. And as said, free shipping. No complaints.

I think it is a part revolution problem. Sometimes the shipping charges are absurd for what it is. I've run into that before. When that happens, I call Renee and half of the time she is able to do something about it.Has FedEx increased their shipping rates recently? I just ordered a fuel pump, two fuel hoses and four hose clamps from Naperville and was surprised to see the shipping was $90.36. There was a core charge on the fuel pump so maybe they have included return shipping? Does anyone know if they include the return for the core in the initial shipping?
Ditto what Jlaa said. And, each RevParts dealer has a different shipping cost matrix. The same order at different dealers may have wildly different ship quotes. It also has issues with large quantities of small items. Definitely one of the bigger problems with that platform.I think it is a part revolution problem. The charge above $75 has been there for a while, since the latter part of 2019 from what I can remember.

Whoa - seriously? That's worse than usual!!Maybe I should have tried that but for a fuel pump and two fuel hoses you'd think it wouldn't even get close to $75.

I called yesterday for an unrelated issue and they said they were barely hanging on because Renee has been gone. Not sure why or if it's permanent.
The system bases ship estimates on part dimensions & weight. If it uses the hood pad dimensions when laid flat, that could generate some weird numbers. The system isn't smart enough to know the pad can be rolled up or folded for shipping. Again, this may vary between vendors; I think each RevParts dealer has the ability to manually adjust OOS/NLA notes for each part number, and possibly ship data as well. Some items pop up with a very high shipping cost, no idea what drives that. I put a hood pad on order with them and the shipping came up something like $250. I tried again, same. I tried on another day, $250.

I just placed an order a few minutes ago from Naperville, including for a G-wagen 722.3 transmission filter (it's identical to the pedestrian 722.3 filters, but has a long neck for the deeper G-wagen trans pan), and a set of four E500E sway bar bushings, and a new M104/M119 cylinder head bolt socket to replace the one of mine that @gsxr (seemingly) has.OH NO!!!!! Renee is such a gem..... :-(

Sadly, this is normal from most vendors, dealer and aftermarket. I usually purchase brake rotors from my local dealer to avoid shipping damage. Or if I need to order elsewhere, I order ONLY the brake rotors, and if I need any other parts those go on a separate order so the warehouse packers can't put heavy rotors loose in the box next to fragile stuff.Rotors where just thrown into the master box without their own boxes. Not sure if that's normal.

This is the note that I got on-screen after I placed my order.

Wow, that's pretty bad if they are not even processing orders, even after a full week-plus.
Perhaps a hiatus on placing orders from MB Naperville is prudent, particularly if parts are needed in fairly short order. None of my parts ordered today are critical, though it would be nice to have the G-wagen transmission filter so I can change the trans fluid. But I can wait a bit longer on that one, too...
Yesterday (Friday) I received one item from my order, which arrived via FedEx and was drop-shipped directly from the MB warehouse in Robbinsville, NJ. I have not yet received the other items of the order, though mboemparts.com has marked the order now as "Ready to Ship". I expect that I'll receive it this coming week sometime.
