Anywone who knows the differens from Blue and Red marking on the rear springs for -91 500E?
Tryed to order and they was not shure witch to order.......

They will be the same part number. You cannot choose red or blue, you get whatever they ship you, and you adjust as needed with the different rubber spring pads.

Hello!

Can you tell me what this art nr: 1243242104 is for? is it for 500E-91?

Hei Gasers.

In accordance to the EPC is that spring for the E420 (034) without SLS, so it is not intended for the 036 with self levelling system. However it may not be that big difference, but if you order you take a chance since it may require adjustments beyond what the spring pads can take.

Ok, thanks!
I have remowed the sls and replaced it whith adjusteble Konis, so maybe this can be the way to go, can it be possible that this spring for 420 is a bit stiffer because it is not made for cars with sls?

I haven't seen any technical specs on these springs, but non-SLS springs seems to be approx. 10mm taller than the SLS-springs, just to compensate for the missing pressure assistance. Do aslo keep in mind that the 036 is lowered quite much compared to the E420. The E420 has aslo 80kg lower weight, so it's hard to say whether those springs will fit.

Thank you for answering my questions! i will try this springs and adjust the ride hight in some way......
The shop order wrong springs for me so i did not pay so much for them anyway:)
If they are soft i will replace them with stock.
I will return with info regarding this.

Ha det grejt! Anders

Anders,

Those springs maaaybe a bit too soft, hard to say. But they may also be too high, and if so - please do not cut them to get the car down, you will end up with a bad combo. Push the vendor instead to provide the correct replacement springs.

Cheers

Ok, what do you think of sportline springs for 420E as a replacement for stock? i have delited SLS system and have konis insted, so maybe i need springs for cars without SLS.......OR is stock springs the best (hardest)?

Hard to say for me, it all depends on your preferences and driving style you know. If you want it low and firm settings you should go for H&R lowering springs. But it will be low and the camber may kill your tires so you need to take action on the camber issues. Or you can lift it to the wanted height with the thickest spring pads. An alternative is the Limited springs, but they are only for SLS I think. However, without SLS they should give a theoretical lowering about half as much as the H&Rs:

Limited springs: 8(?) mm lower + SLS delete 10 mm = 18 mm lowering
H&R springs for SLS/non-SLS: approx. 25mm lowering

Here is the pad overview BTW:
Sping Pads

Front:
A201 321 09 84 1-point 8 mm
A201 321 10 84 2-point 13 mm
A201 321 11 84 3-point 18 mm
A201 321 12 84 4-point 23 mm

Rear:
A201 325 09 44 1-point 8 mm
A201 325 10 44 2-point 13 mm
A201 325 11 44 3-point 18 mm

Hmm, I was thinking.... if springs for (500E) SLS are softer then springs made for cars (420E) without SLS.
I dont want the car lower, just a bit stiffer if it is possible....
Can be that i just have to try and se:))

Use standard 400E Sportline non-SLS rear springs if you are removing SLS.

E500 Limited rear springs are slightly shorter than standard 500E/E500 rear springs and must be used with SLS. And no, there are not any front Limited springs, only rear.

Is 1243242104 the part number for the 400E springs?

Is 124-324-21-04 the part number for the 400E springs?
That is the part number for "tall" rear .034 springs, with standard (non-SLS) rear suspension, and with optional cool box or trailer hitch.

Standard rear .034 springs are 124-324-12-04 (without SLS). More info is in the EPC footnote, which has the springs charts with part numbers, pad thicknesses, etc.

Dave, what do you mean in post #12 about E500 Limited not having any front limited springs?

What are the correct front and rear spring part numbers on a E500 Limited?

E500 Limited uses "standard" 036 front springs.

Standard E500E front springs: 124-321-35-04
Standard E500E rear springs: 124-324-30-04

E500 Limited front springs: 124-321-35-04
E500 Limited rear springs: 124-324-38-04
